PRILOSEC® LAWSUIT

DID YOU KNOW?
PRILOSEC® HAS BEEN LINKED TO KIDNEY DISEASE
Prilosec®, a proton-pump inhibitor (PPI), decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach, which can reduce heartburn and stomach discomfort. Prolonged use of Prilosec®, however, can lead to an increased risk of kidney disease or kidney failure. An average of one in four individuals who sought treatment for kidney disease between 2001 and 2008 took some type of PPI medication.
If you have suffered kidney damage as a result of taking a PPI, you may be entitled to compensation for your loss and suffering. Contact Wolf of Justice™ today to learn more about your legal options and find out if you qualify to file a Prilosec® lawsuit.

EVIDENCE THAT DOESN’T LIE
THE RISKS
Between 2001 and 2008, approximately one in four individuals reporting kidney damage took some type of PPI. Further analysis discovered that individuals taking PPIs, including Prilosec®, had a 20% to 50% greater chance of developing chronic kidney disease than people who had not taken the drugs. The study did not reveal a direct cause for this increased chance but did show that individuals who took Prilosec® could have a much higher risk of developing kidney disease.
Many people have already filed lawsuits against the manufacturer of Prilosec®, alleging that the company did not appropriately warn consumers about the potential complications associated with using their product.
TRANSPARENCY IS KEY
THE COMPLICATIONS
Taking Prilosec® can cause a host of complications, including symptoms of kidney disease. These symptoms may include:
- Swelling in the legs
- Fluid buildup in the lungs
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Loss of appetite
- Fatigue
- Difficulty urinating
- High blood pressure
- Abnormal heartbeat
